Canadian Women's Impact on World War 2.Canadian women greatly impacted World War 2. They helped the war effort in not only traditional ways but new and unexpected ways too. They impacted the lives of many Canadians.
Women created an impacted on life at home as they helped many people live off the supplies that they had. Women encouraged households in addition to factories to try and not waste anything unless necessary. They knew that some materials like things were very scarce to come by as they were needed for they war effort and they could not be used at home as they were needed desperately at war. Women also impacted the lives of farmers as they helped out on farms. Since many men were gone due to the war women felt they had to help on farms to make sure that they survived and flourished during the war. They knew that farmers need help to grow crops for the country but also the soldiers at war. Food was scarce and women knew that they could use as much help as they could get. They helped plant seeds, care for the animals, and help with finances. Women proved to be very helpful on the farms during this time. Women created an impact as they helped farms prosper and without them them there would be a very scarce amount of food for canadians at the time. |
During the war many women decided to create clubs or organizations that made clothes or bandages for men overseas. They also sent newspapers and special treats to military hospitals. They tried to help out as much as they could as women knew that the soldiers fighting in the war could use as much help as they could get. This impacted the war because the women knew that Canadian soldiers needed as much help and support as they could get and with this they made sure that men felt a sense of appreciation.
Since men had left to fight in the war there were many jobs available that needed to filled. Women volunteered to step forward and take over the jobs that were left vacant. As the war carried on the women proved to be a vital asset to the upkeep of Canada as they proved that they could do the jobs just as well as men. This action impacted the war because if they did not step in for the men that left their jobs then all the factories that created ammunition and war related products that were to be shipped to soldiers would come to halt. If this were to happen the war would not have been as successful as it was.
As we can probably all agree Canada would not have thrived during the second world war if it not for the contributions and sacrifices that women made. Women were a vital piece of the puzzle to the war flourishing and without them Canada could not have survived. Women helped every aspect of the country get by including , farmers, life at home, and factories. They selflessly helped Canada stay afloat during this time and their impact they had on the war will never be forgotten.
